Well continuing in this post only I would like to resolve my problem. I
have an HP dv6700t special Edition laptop. I just ran the Live cd of
Open SuSE 10.3 in order to check the compatibility of the OS with the
system. All was working fine except the multimedia buttons (not a
concern) and the wireless card. My wireless card is an Intel 4965 ABGN
card and officially it works fine with SUSE. Knetwork was showing all
the networks it was catching but I was unable to hook up even to
one...even to one which was unencrypted one. Please help me resolve the
situation.

The live trial disk tends to be lighter on drivers than a full install.
Also, there are a number of wireles drivers that are not avaialable in the
base install, but can be added from community repositories after the
base installation.

If the card is on the supported list, you should expect to be able to make
it work.
